Referee’s really determined this series, bad calls on both sides in just about every game. But the main reason we lost today was our own god damned fault. We couldn’t get a shot on goal to save a life, Sid was ATROCIOUS in the faceoff circle, turnover upon turnover and overall a complete lack of drive and effort until “oh shit, we’re down 3 goals and there’s only 10 minutes left”.

After all the talk about our depth, this series showed us more that the Flyers had much better than ours. Our first line was all but shut-out all series, second line was sporadic at best, and the fourth line barely showed up. Only consistently good line was the 3rd headed by Jordan Staal. It really seemed he was the only one who would put in the effort and take the hits and get the pucks on net, rather than just trying to set up the pretty pass.

Pens blew it in the playoffs, nothing more to be said. Thanks for a great season though, and at least flogging them 10-3. That was a real pleasure and treat to see. Thanks to Philadelphia for a good, tough series, but all the same I hope you lose in the next round, I’m sure you understand why <3
